AFTER an inconsistent spell of results, Basingstoke Town boss Ernie Howe is hoping his side can put together two consecutive wins for the first time in a month.
The October triumphs over Lewes and Cambridge City - in the Carthium Cup and Nationwide South respectively - represent the last time Town achieved such a feat.
Since then, over six games, Town have lost three, going out of the FA Trophy and Carthium Cup in the process, while winning two and drawing one match.
But Howe says his side should look at the three points gained over Bognor last Saturday as the launch-pad to embark upon a winning period of matches.
The Town manager said: "Beating Bognor was a good win for us. We were quite clinical, battled hard and it was a good way to finish the week, after going out of the league cup at Havant.
"Now we have to make sure we get a similar result against Margate tomorrow.
"It'd be nice to get a run going again and keep ourselves in the top three of the table."
Striker Neville Roach (hamstring) remains an injury concern, but Howe said the fact there was no midweek game has "given some of the lads the chance to recover from little knocks and bumps".
