RECLAIMED materials were used to age a cottage which, in fact, is a modern building.
The Lanterns is larger than it looks, too. It has four bedrooms, an en suite shower room and family bathroom on the first floor.
Downstairs there is a central hallway with a porcelain-tiled floor, with under-floor heating, which leads to a kitchen-diner that stretches across the back of the cottage and is described by selling agents Lane Fox as "magnificent".
The white units in the kitchen area have granite work surfaces and are inset with a stainless steel cooker, fridge and freezer.
Like the hall, the kitchen-diner has a porcelain-tiled floor, and the dining area features French doors out to the garden, which backs on to common land and has a sun terrace.
Lane Fox says the kitchen-diner is large enough to divide into two separate rooms. It is adjoined by a utility area.
To either side of the front door are the two formal reception rooms, one with an exposed brick fireplace as its focal point.
Matthew White, of Lane Fox, said: "The Lanterns is an exceptional property fitted to an extremely high standard."
The guide price is £625,000. The location for The Lanterns is the hamlet of Hound Green near the village of Mattingley.
