SAINTS head coach Steve Wigley has been up for sale on Internet auction site eBay.
The unnamed seller, a 23-year-old season-ticket holder from Winchester, claims he was forced into the joke move because of Wigley's poor record of just one win in 12 Premier League games since he replaced Paul Sturrock in August.
A description of the item reads: "This guy is liked by players and fans alike, but unfortunately can't hack the world of Premier League management. Comes in used, but fairly decent condition."
Fifty bids have already been lodged since bidding started on Tuesday.
The current highest bid stands at £10m from someone describing themselves as "Pompey needs you now".
There are still five days to go until auction day on Tuesday.
Bidding reached a state of frenzy yesterday afternoon after the announcement that Harry Redknapp had quit as Pompey manager.
Nick Illingsworth, of Saints fanzine The Ugly Inside, said: "Pompey needs a manager and of course he is worth it! I hope that eBay will hold them to this £10m and that they have their credit card details!"
