Upham claimed all three points against Vernham Dean with an emphatic second half performance.
The first half started scrappily, with both teams struggling to keep their feet on the slippery surface. Stuart Creese gave Upham the lead on 20 minutes, and Leigh Bishop added a second five minutes later.
A defensive error allowed Vernham Dean to pull one back, and, with their tails up, they equalised soon after. But Creese restored Upham's lead just before the break.
Upham came out strongly in the second half, and dominated the play. Piercing crosses from the midfield, with Shaun Gregory prominent, set up Creese to score an excellent second half hat-trick.
Two further goals from Phil Hastings and an own goal put Upham 9-2 up before a lapse in concentration just before the final whistle allowed Vernham Dean a further consolation goal.
