YOUNGSTERS at a school near Fareham are singing their way to a set of new classrooms.
A total of 76 five-to-11-year-olds from the Swanmore Primary School choir have put their voices to a Christmas CD being released in a bid to raise thousands towards their building fund.
The 11-track CD, recorded with instruments at St Barnabas Church in Swanmore, is full of hymns, Christmas classics and some more modern Christmas songs.
Head teacher Lesley Hutchings said: "The idea came from my daughter, who thought they all sang so well last Christmas.
"It was a bit strange practising carols between February and July, but it's lovely music."
CDs, which cost £10, are available from the school. More than 250 have already been snapped up by parents.
The school building fund, which needs to raise £200,000, has just topped the £42,000 mark.
