A NEW public transport guide has been published in a bid to get Southampton people going from A to B in a more environmentally friendly way.
The public transport map and guide highlights local bus, rail and ferry travel routes, as well as details about how often each service runs.
It also includes enlarged plans of the city centre, Southampton Central station, Bitterne, Lordshill, Portswood and Shirley, showing where buses stop and where to interchange.
There is also a full contacts list for all local bus, coach, rail and ferry operators.
Councillor Jill Baston, cabinet member for environment and transport, said: "The new guides are easy to use and give very helpful information.
"I hope they will encourage more people to use public transport."
The council has printed more than 40,000 copies of the guide, which are available free from council offices, libraries, doctors'surgeries, bus operator offices, hotels and railway stations.
