KEEPER Mark Brown was the shoot-out hero as Gosport Borough beat Havant & Waterlooville in the Hampshire Senior Cup last night.
Brown pulled off two saves as the Wessex League side won 4-1 on penaltis after a 2-2 draw at Westleigh Park.
He saved penalties from Robbie Pethick and Dean Blake while Darren Robson, Ian Rew, Perry Holland and John Cripps scored for the visitors.
Veteran striker Dean Holdsworth and Gosport's Graham Lindsay had traded goals in normal time.
Holdsworth converted a third minute penalty to put Havant in front, only for Lindsay to level after 22 minutes.
Holdsworth struck for the second time 10 minutes into the second half before Lindsay - who had grabbed Gosport's FA Vase winner against VCD at the weekend in extra-time - forced an extra 30 minutes with an injury-time leveller.
