DARREN KENTON had an unhappy return to his former club, describing Norwich's two goals as "silly."
Both were the result of defensive errors, although Kenton did produce a solid display after replacing Andreas Jakobsson in the centre of defence, with captain Jason Dodd coming in at right-back.
"They have done us with silly goals," said Kenton.
"When James scored, we should have played a bit more.
"The first goal is from a throw-in and the second is from a corner.
"It was always going to be a tough game but we should have got a better result."
Kenton, pictured, admitted a slow start had cost Saints, as well as some poor passing.
"It is disappointing to lose any game and to lose to your old team is very disappointing," he added.
"We never got started. They deserved to go ahead - we didn't get hold of the ball.
"They played almost 4-2-4, so it was hard for our full-backs Jason Dodd and Graeme Le Saux."
