Sir.-I feel very disappointed that two recent collections for the RNLI made just £101.82 and £89.66.

I know every penny counts, but surely these people deserve much more?

They work so very hard, when they are called out.

I do hope their next collection does really well.

I was a collector myself a year ago, but sadly, I am a little too old now.
