CONSULTATION: How often have you contemplated the lack of leisure facilities in the parish?
Well, next Tuesday, a consultation meeting is being held to discuss exactly that issue.
All those interested should attend and bring with them any ideas on what might be carried out in the area.
The meeting will take place in Chineham Village Hall, from 6.30pm to 9pm.
Council officers will be present to take note of what is said and they are interested in opinions from both the young and the more mature.
If you are unable to make it for this session, but still have some suggestions, then be sure to visit the borough council's dedicated website at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/local_leisure_needs
Alternatively, if you would prefer to receive a written questionnaire where you can record your views, contact Stewart Meadowcroft at the council on 845736.
FOOTPATH: By the time you read this, the long-awaited Reading Road footpath link between Christ Church and the nearby bus stop should be under construction.
Another link from Ajax Close to the business park bridge should also be under way soon.
CHRIST Church, Reading Road, this week: On Monday, the church is holding a "Tool Kit for Dads" workshop.
If you are a dad and find yourself worried about your kids, about step-parenting, asking yourself: "Am I good enough?", then you are welcome.
It starts at 7.30pm in the Shaftesbury Room of Christ Church and it's free.
