EXPRESSING creative flair and celebrating the importance of trees was the order of the day at a special tree dressing in Fareham.
People braved the miserable weather and showed up bearing imaginative decorations such as bees and birds to adorn the trees at the Sensory Gardens in Osborn Road as part of a special council led event over the weekend.
Using recycled goods to fashion masterpieces created along the theme A Time to Recycle, the event encouraged children and adults from the area to get in touch with nature.
There were also other activities to get stuck into throughout the day including willow weaving, candle making and landscape painting and design workshops.
Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "Trees are one of the oldest groups of living things and play a vital part in the balance of life on earth - yet we rarely give them a second glance."
