POLICE are hunting a driver who threatened a pedestrian with a knife after almost running him over.
Trouble flared when a 39-year-old man was dropping his son off at the Fast Cat passenger service at Ryde Pier on the Isle of Wight.
An argument started between the driver and the pedestrian. The driver then got out of his car brandishing a knife.
It was only when ferry staff intervened that the driver backed away and drove off.
Police are now hunting the driver who was described as aged about 45 to 50, 5ft 9in to 6ft and slim with short, dark brown hair and a moustache. He was wearing a maroon jacket.
Any witnesses to the incident that happened between 8.30pm and 8.50pm on November 11 should contact PC Phillip Bentley at Ryde police station on 0845 045 4545.
