crime has been slashed by more than half after the launch of a zero tolerance approach on loutish and drunken behaviour in a Hampshire town.
Drink-related crimes plummeted 50 per cent in Romsey in the six months since the Pubwatch scheme was launched.
So far, eight men have been banned from 16 town centre pubs and an another nine Romsey residents have received warning letters about their behaviour.
