IT IS all going very well for Eastleigh's new coach Kevin Byron-Butler, who clocked up his second straight win since taking over the reigns at Bishopstoke with a storming 52-5 win over a strong Farnborough II.
Two tries apiece from Tony Sellwood, veteran Joe Butler and Micky Holmes lifted the Hampshire Two side to the comfortable win over the Senior Merit Table outfit and Byron-Butler was extremely pleased with what he saw.
"The return of injured players like Ian Struckman in the front row and Jim Longhurst have made a big difference," he felt, "and we are playing very good rugby with a young base of players which augers well."
Stoneham lost their 100 per cent friendly record as they turned out with just 13 men, of which only three were recognised backs in their fixture with Fawley II and lost 28-10 - their tries coming from scrum-half Andy Stride.
In a forward-orientated performance, Stoneham played well but the Fawley full-back found plenty of space to run around the hooker on the wing and help himself to a handful of tries to take the Watersiders well clear of the Hampshire Three strugglers.
