KATIE Shipp's impressive early-season form continued with another excellent run for Eastleigh & District Junior AC in the Wessex Cross-Country League at Salisbury.
Competing in the under-13 girls' category, Shipp started cautiously but picked her way through the field to finish fifth over the two-kilometre course - her highest ever cross-country position.
Bethany Woodhouse was 14th ahead of Rebecca King 40th, debutante Sophie Jones 41st, Melody Young 48th, Emily Varcoe 49th and Emily Ball 55th.
There were plenty of other good performances for the Eastleigh Club who, in only their second cross-country season, had 29 athletes competing.
Adam Hicks led the under-15 boys' charge in 16th ahead of Josh Allen 29th, Chris Goller 34th, debutant Tom Gilham 39th and Anthony Padilla 41st.

Under-11 girls: Alice Blackman14th, debutante Nicky Gill 15th, Ellie Henderson 17th, debutante Hannah Ravensdale 18th.
