TEST Valley Deputy Mayor, Cllr Peter Boulton, could have been forgiven for thinking he had entered a Lilliputian world when he was asked to plant a tree.
Dignitaries often get asked to plant trees - but last week it was to celebrate the Andover Model Railway Club's new home at Wildhern Village Hall.
And the tree in question was a miniature model tree, which he was asked to plant on the club's New Barton railway layout.
Until recently the club was homeless but it is now enjoying meetings on Wednesday evenings - new members are welcome. Mr Boulton also presented Hornby train sets which had been won at the Modelex2004 exhibition organised by the club.
Next year's Modelex exhibition, which gets bigger every year, will be held at John Hanson School on 3 and 4 September 2005.
