TEST Valley risks accusations of bei-ng discriminatory against the ethnic Gypsy group unless it adopts a 'corporate approach to the needs of gypsies and travellers' the council's executive has been told.
At a meeting in Romsey on Wedn-esday councillors heard that the absence of a policy makes the Borough Council vulnerable to challenge.
A risk analysis of the situation has just increased the discrimination category from 'low' to 'high'.
After the problems experienced at North Curry where Taun-ton Deane Borough Council faces a lengthy fight to stop development by travellers who have bought land, councillors in Test Valley have been warned they could face a similar situation.
