BIBLE stories are being brought to life in an amateur theatre project involving a cast of more than 100 performers.
Church-based drama group MDG Players have joined forces with musicians, dancers, actors and musicians from fellow churches to perform Snakes and Ladders by Roger Jones.
Jones is one of the leading Christian musical composers in the UK.
The musical, which also features drama and sketches, spans Bible stories from Adam and Eve through to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
Producer John Archer said: "I usually act or sing in an MDG production so this is my debut on the production side. It certainly is a challenge logistically with separate directors for the dance, choir, drama and orchestra. It's the biggest show in terms of cast that we have ever put on."
The cast ranges in age from a seven-year-old dancer to an 80-year-old choir member.
Chandler's Ford Methodist Church. Thursday, November 25 to Saturday, 27. Performances: 7.30pm. Tickets: £4. Box office: 023 8026 1949.
