A HAMPSHIRE engineering company has been bought up by New Zealand firm Opus International Consultants.

The move aims to double turnover at Fareham-based Evans Grant and expand its reach into international markets.

The firm is now to be renamed Evans Grant Opus and will offer a range of structural and civil engineering expert advice with specialist departments.

A spokesman said: "The merger with Opus marks a significant development in the growth of the practice and will enable us to extend our consultancy services to a larger market, both nationally and internationally."
