Possibly one of the best performances in the February Medal competition at Andover Golf Club was by Aggie Boulton (15).

His last medal win was last March, and he had never broken 80, but he put that right with a superb round of 77 (net 62) to win the Division 2 by five clear strokes. Second place went to last year's Seniors Captain Michael Mills (13) with a net 67.

Junior Captain Richard Jones (10) proved once again what a fine prospect he is by winning Division 1 with a net 67 score. Simon Maskell (5) shot a fine gross 74 to win the scratch prize, and he also claimed second spot.

Another fine junior prospect, Robert Stroak (21), took the honours in Division 3 with a net 67. Andrew McMahon (19) secured second spot with a net 68.

It was a very tight affair in the Division 1 Sunday competition with five players recording net scores in the 60s. Lloyd Bale (6) led the way with a fine net 67, and he also took the scratch prize with his gross 73. Second spot went to Harry Ilott (10) with his net 67, edging out Liam Guyatt's (8) on countback.

Having won Division 3 in December, David Harvey (18) continued with his fine form by taking the Division 2 title with an excellent net 67. Les Britten (17) finished in second place with a net 68.

Paul Pereira (24) played an outstanding round of golf to win the Sunday Division 3 title with an amazing net 61. It seems he will have no problem playing off his new handicap of 21. Paul Raymond (27) finished second with an excellent net score of 66.
