HANSFORD's Chalkie White ran away with the sixth round of The Nigel Turner/ Thompsons Financial Planning Sunday Series on Longbridge.

He booked his spot for the match at the last minute, replacing Toyota's Dave Higgins and looked far from on top form at the draw but recovered quickly to land 18 carp for 77lb 9oz.

Drawn on peg 13, White started catching after an hour and carried on steadily for the rest of the match to finish nearly 30lb clear.

Wessex Angling Centre' Stuart Halliday finished second with a mixed bag of carp, tench and skimmers on the pole from the canal fishing corn and worm.

Carbotech's Lee Woodhouse finished third with seven carp to 10lb plus 11lb of bits for 48lb 6oz on the pole and worm with Homestores Select's Ray Hayward fourth with 44lb 15oz of carp.
