For the third year running Woodington Feeds have battled their way to the Reel Care Knockout Cup final.

Fishing the Teams of Four match on Longbridge, Speed Andrews on peg 32 took a huge bag of mainly carp for 116lb 4oz on the pole and banded pellet.

Back-up weights for Woodington were L Goodfellow (32lb 10oz) on peg 2, I Goofellow (29lb 13oz) on peg 23 and Ginger Hall (10lb 9oz) on peg 11.

Eastleigh took second with their top scorer, Paul White, on peg C taking 64lb 7oz on waggler and pole, again for a mainly carp bag. Chalky White took 48lb 3oz of mainly silver fish on peg 35 on corn and banded pellet while Bob Drew took 46lb 8oz of silver fish on the pole and managed.

Dave Self fishing peg 9, took 15lb 14oz of carp and tench on the pole to help Eastleigh gather their total team weight of 174lb 12oz. Third were Wessex B with Sash Partington taking 65lb 12oz of carp on the feeder from peg 22, S Haliday on peg 10 taking 40lb 5oz, S Barber fished peg 1 for 26lb 2oz followed by Wendy Halliday on peg 34 taking 23lb 6oz to push their team weight up to 155lb 9oz.

Individual results: 1 Speed Andrews (Woodington Feeds) 116lb 4oz, 2 Neil Tappin (Cormorants) 69lb, 3 Sash Partington (Wessex B) 65lb 12oz, 4 Paul White (Eastleigh 64lb 7oz). The Hansford Wednesday Evening Series match on the Lower Lake at Broadlands saw Chalkie White (Hansfords), take 19lb 14oz of bream to the scales for first place. Second was Ginger Hall (Dynamite Baits) who took 19lb 12oz of carp, third Rick Kajko (Cormorants) 19lb and fourth Kaz Podadowski (Cormorants) with 18lb 12oz.

The Eastleigh Thursday Evening Series match fished on the Bottom Lake at Stoneham saw Mick Kenny win with a small carp and bits from peg 5 for 23lb 4oz from around the island on the pole.

Second was Graham Tappenden with 22lb 6oz of carp and tench on the pole, third Dave Higgins with 19lb, fourth Dave Self 17lb 14oz. Others: Shaun O'Rourke 16lb 15oz, Harry Salkeld 16lb 8oz.

Eastleigh held a Marshall Rolfe Toyota qualifier on Waldens Farms Match Lake where Dave Pool reached the final with 33lb 9oz of carp on pole and paste.

Graham Tappenden was second with 28lb 2oz, third John Clark 24lb 2oz, fourth Kev Hatcher 18lb 1oz. Others: Andy Palmer 15lb, Phil Clift 14lb.

Eastleigh fished the Gold Valley Van Dan Eynde Clubman Challenge National semi-finals and came 9th out of 21 teams missing out on just eight points which would have qualified them for the final, Gary Naylor came third in his section.

The first Christchurch Evening Series match on Crow and Edward's Lakes saw Mike Dean (Fishing Lodge) win with 15lb 9oz, second Ralph Cook (Downton) 14lb 9oz, third Bob Gilespy (Christchurch) 14lb 8oz, fourth Steve Hemmings (Fishing Lodge) 13lb, fifth Ivor Brittain (Fishing Lodge) 8lb 7oz.

Christchurch also fished their first club match of the season on the Lower Stour with Julian Taylor (Fishing Lodge) winning with 12lb 11oz. Second Nigel Fitsgerald (Fishing Lodge) 6lb 13oz. Others: Geoff Charman (Christchurch) 6lb 1oz, Dave Stack (Christchurch) 5lb 14oz, Nick King (Dorset Raiders) and Eddie Harrison (Fishing Lodge) 3lb 10oz.

Cormorants held a sweepstake on Wytherington Farms Topmoor inner circuit that fished well. Sixteen anglers fished taking an average of 30lb per man with Clive Egerton (Poingdestres) coming first with 53lb 10oz of carp on the pole and paste, second Rick Kajko (Cormorants) 44lb 8oz, third Graham Maton (Sillybaits) 43lb 12oz and fourth Graham Collins (Cormorants) 41lb 8oz.

TVAC took on the Isle of Wight AC on Gunville Lake on the Island with Rob Ribbins (IoW) taking 15lb 15oz of roach and skimmers on the pole and caster to finish first.

Geoff White (Isle of Wight) caught 15lb 2oz of roach and skimmers again on the pole and caster for second place. Others: 3 Kev Downer (TVAC) 14lb 9oz, 4 Ian Jones (IoW) 12lb 13oz, 5 Gordon Warner (TVAC) 11lb 14oz, 6 Dave Parvin (TVAC) 10lb 14oz.

Basingstoke AC fished the Main Lake at Broadlands with Ian Jones taking 31lb 8oz of bream on the feeder, worm and caster. Second was Dave Elliot with 21lb 6oz of roach taken on the whip and caster and third Kaz Kellet with 18lb 4oz of roach again on the whip and caster.

Alans Marine fished the Lower Lake at Broadlands with L Keats running out the clear winner with 51lb 14oz from M Bond on 22lb 12oz. Others: T Hoare 20lb 8oz, S Barnet 16lb 4oz, all consisting of mixed bags.

On the match lake at Broadlands, Ian Snooks' match saw M Chadd take 41lb 5oz of bream and roach. Second was G. Chadd 40lb 3oz, third D Schofield 36lb 14oz and Ian Dickson 35lb 15oz.
