THE Mitre in Portswood Road is fast becoming a centre for comedy thanks to its fortnightly stand-up nights.
The shows certainly give the audience a great deal of laughter for their money, as each session sees five acts taking to the stage - all of whom are promised to be of Jongleurs quality and guaranteed to get the audience giggling.
On Sunday, November 28 The Mitre will play host to David Hadingham, the gravel-voiced comic with a warped and highly amusing view on everyday life. Davd has received acclaim in national newspaper The Guardian and received vital exposure on TV shows such as The Jack Docherty Show.
Other comedians appearing this month include Hal Cruttenden, Steve Day, Adam Ethan Crow and Pierre Hollins.
Tickets for the fortnightly shows cost £5.
Discounts are available with a student card or with an M-card, which you can apply for at the club.
