THIS year isn't just an Olympic year, it's also an Olympian year - at least it is for the Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
That's because there's a fitness drive with a difference happening, and it's all down to a new partnership that's worked out between the centre and the local Nissan dealership.
Olympian Nissan is providing the Five Rivers complex (formally Salisbury leisure Centre) with a top of the range Nissan Almera to help them spread the fitness message around the area. The centre, that re-opened last year after a major refurbishment, now includes 2 swimming pools, squash courts, plus and extensive gym and great new facilities for kids.
Always a company to share their success, Olympian are supporting this local facility to celebrate a sales period that's seen sales rise by 35 per cent over the previous year.
Wesley Cole, sales manager, feels it is important to be linked to such an important part of the community.
"We're pleased to offer our support by providing much-needed transport for the Five Rivers Centre and hope that everyone in Salisbury enjoys the great new facilities on offer," he said.
"We're sure that the Almera and the Five Rivers Leisure centre will make a very healthy partnership indeed."
