CORHAMPTON golfer Colin Herring was the impressive winner of the Hampshire Alliance's Reg Pier Memorial trophy - a 27-hole singles stableford at Paultons Park.
Herring accumulated a massive 24 points in the morning section and followed up with 35 for a 59-point total - three better than runner-up Dave Willis (Meon Valley) with Nick Male (Alresford) in third place.
East Horton assistant David Porter took the professionals' prize by virtue of his 17-point morning haul.
He and Dibden's Simon Tillson returned three under par 39s in the afternoon.
