Sir.-I write in reply to a letter from Mr M J Saunders (Gazette, October 29), regarding the new surgery for Old Basing.
How would Mr Saunders like an industrial unit plus four flats built next to him?
What affordable housing? I am sure Dr Weaver will not sell these flats at a low price as he will want to make a profit.
How many trees does Mr Saunders think will be left on the site once it's been cleared?
Probably not enough for the building to blend in with.
Does Mr Saunders ever walk down Milkingpen Lane? I can assure him, if he did, he would put his life at risk every time - that's without the extra traffic I believe this new "eyesore" will cause.
-Mrs A M Butler, Old Basing.
