ROBERT May's School: Last week, my wife and I attended an excellently-run awards ceremony with last year's school leavers receiving their GCSE certificates.
There were 240 ex-students who collected their well deserved certificates with many coming from Old Basing.
Adam Robinson, of Frazer Close, Old Basing, received a Special Achievements award.
CARNIVAL: It was nice to see that we have had the distribution of money from the Old Basing Carnival.
There was just about £2,000 available, with the money benefiting many of our local organisations.
THE Barn: In the Basinga, Nicola Turton has mentioned the fencing off of the area around the barn.
She, I, and many others are incensed that the money achieved by the sale of The Grange is not being used for the purpose it was intended.
We have a magnificent building, which is going into disrepair and becoming unsafe.
This is one of our treasures and should be cosseted and cared for.
