ELLISFIELD council: Peter Mitchell has withdrawn his resignation from Ellisfield Parish Council after discussion with the parish council chairman Paul Turner.
"I'm very pleased that Cllr Mitchell has decided to withdraw his resignation," said Paul.
CHRISTMAS fair: Everyone's invited to the Ellisfield Christmas fair on Saturday, November 27.
Doors open at 2pm. There will be the usual highly successful mix of stalls including tombola, crafts, cakes and produce.
There will be whisky and hamper raffles and a free glass of mulled wine with the entry ticket.
For the children, there's face painting and this year the Ellisfield Ladies' calendar will be on sale - if there are any copies left by then - together with flower festival cards.
For those who want to sit down for a chat, there's tea and cakes.
The Christmas fair has long been one of the village's landmark winter events, with the noise level during the first half-hour almost equalling that reached during the village sing-alongs organised by Roger Graham at our harvest suppers.
So, please, make it a date - and I'll see you in the Memorial Hall.
RUN rabbit: Alas, I wrote too soon that my rabbits had gone. One or two are back and as bold as ever.
Pauline Parnell-Hopkinson says the reason there has been a drop in rabbit numbers - certainly in her garden - is quite simple.
It is down to stoats.
