OTTERBOURNE RESERVES' recent run of success came to an abrupt halt as AFC Target ended their six-match winning sequence with a 3-2 win. Jamie Martin, Ben Boyce and Peter Hurst netted for the victors.
Matt Davis finished off a neat through pass from James Dixey to give Botley Village the lead at Brendon, and Geoff Wright finished the job by tapping home after the Brendon keeper was unable to hold a shot as the game finished 2-0.
Classic Comrades took advantage of Nursling being involved in cup action by winning 4-0 at bottom team Hythe Aztecs, who are still without a point. All the goals came in the first half and were scored by Rob Burch. The win returned them to the top of the table.
Wellow took an early lead through Henry Smith from the penalty spot but Locksley Sports retaliated by hitting them for six with two from Billy Cozens and singles from Billy Kelly, Ricky Butler, Kev Smart and Darren Morris.
In the Senior League Trophy, Ian Bush scored six as Nursling crushed Priory Rovers 11-0. Paul Odam scored the first two and completed his hat-trick with a late third, Wayne West also grabbing a brace.
In the Hants Intermediate Cup, AFC Arrow squeezed past Cadnam United 3-2 but needed an extra time effort from Graham Longdin to overcome some dogged defending and fine goalkeeping. Ian Nash and Andy Singleton were their earlier scorers.
