SOME tribute bands are happy to live their lives in the shadow of the group they imitate.
But others - like Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles - step into the limelight themselves and are respected and followed as a band in their own right.
Perfect Alibi fall into the second category.
The Pink Floyd tribute band are a lot more than a group knocking out a few covers.
They put on a fantastic show and always attract a huge audience - as can be seen by the fact that they are playing in a venue as large as Southampton Guildhall tonight.
Their show combines pyrotechnics, laser and light displays to recreate a Pink Floyd show.
Fans can look forward to hearing such songs as Wish You Were Here, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Dogs of War, High Hopes and Another Brick in the Wall.
Perfect Alibi almost always sell out their gigs but some tickets may be left for tonight's show - if you're a fan of Pink Floyd make sure you get your hands on a pair.
Southampton Guildhall. Friday, November 12. Performance: 7.45pm. Tickets: £15. Box office: 023 8063 2601.
