LYMINGTON & New Milton fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to third-placed Thatcham - but it was points dropped as far as Linnets manager Ian Robinson was concerned.
In the first half Linnets were a shadow of the side that had forced Conference outfit Woking to an FA Cup replay only a week previously.
"We were 2-0 down inside 20 minutes," reported Robinson. "A bit of complacency set in and we lacked workrate, which was disappointing.
"We took the game to them in the second half and could have won it 3-2, but Paddy James had a goal disallowed for offside."
Darren Powell, Linnets' recent signing from Winchester City, hit a free kick along the ground to make it 2-1 - his first goal for the club - and James's cross teed up Paul Towler to nod in the equaliser.
"We didn't deserve anything in the first half, but we shaded the second and we're viewing it as two points lost," said Robinson.
