CORONATION Copse: The plantation of trees on the hillside above the gallops, to celebrate the Queen's coronation, is now showing its autumn colours and is well worth an expedition to see.

OLD Tyme Music Hall: Tickets are now on sale for this event at the Village Club on Saturday, November 20.
It features professional performers recapturing the atmosphere of the old music halls, with lots of audience participation.

GARDENING: The gardening club has its next evening lecture at the Fieldgate Centre on Thursday, at 7.45pm.
The speaker is Andrew McIndoe, from Hillier Arboretum, who will be talking about spring bulbs.

crime writers: Write the perfect crime story with help from a workshop in the library on Wednesday, from 2pm to 5pm.
Successful crime writer Rebecca Tope will run a session for beginners.
Tickets, costing £3 each, are available in advance from the library.
