Hamworthy United manager Alex Pike was a happy man after watching his team triumph 2-0 at home to Brockenhurst.
"I'm very pleased with the win. The younger players are starting to settle in now and I'm very happy with what I've got here at Hamworthy," smiled Pike.
Ryan Lucas provided the cross for Keith Middleton to fire the Dorset club into a 48th-minute lead and it was Middleton who bagged a second right on the final whistle with a fine individual effort.
Downton are still looking for their first points after suffering their 14th straight defeat of the campaign, two-goal Ian Davies and Paul Worsfold sentencing them to a 3-0 loss at Thatcham Town.
