A LAST-GASP 92nd-minute strike by Gary Biddle earned VT FC a precious point in an entertaining 2-2 draw with Fareham Town at Portsmouth Road.
"It was a good game to watch and I thought that a draw was a fair result. Full credit to our lads for keeping going," said VT manager Dave Diaper.
The home side had taken the lead after 44 minutes when Gary Male netted from the penalty spot after Mike Spinney had been brought down.
Fareham equalised on 51 minutes through Floyd Hamodu and then took an 85th-minute lead with a scorching 25-yard drive from Warren Hunt.
But two minutes into stoppage time, Biddle popped up to head in Kevin Gibbens' corner, and the Boatmen almost stole it with the last kick of the game which saw Andy Pattison's effort hit the Fareham bar.
