Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society , Jack and the Beanstalk, The Point, Eastleigh
THROUGH twists and turns the story revolves around lazy Jack, his poor mother Dame Trot and the beanstalk.
Eventually, Jack saves the day for all and there is a happy ending.
Musically strong, this cast had energy and enthusiasm from curtain up to finale, conveying the traditional joys of pantomime with great gusto. Containing a wide range of songs, the rendition of Summer Loving will be very hard to forget!
There were a couple of prop problems but the cast - particularly Graham Barnes (Dame) and Peter Havercan (King) - coped well, and threw in ad libs for good measure.
An excellent show for all the family.
