BOO, ZINO AND THE SNURKS (U): German animation dubbed into English about a group of characters from a TV show who are transported into the real world.
BRIDE AND PREJUDICE: Jane Austen is given a Bollywood make-over in this lively film which may see the Indian film industry finally complete the cross-over into the western mainstream.
A CINDERELLA STORY (PG): Misfiring updated high school version of the fairytale which is aimed squarely at younger female viewers.
COFFEE AND CIGARETTES (PG): Written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, this film features a series of short stories themed around coffee and cigarettes.
COLLATERAL (15): Tom Cruise stars as a cold killer who hijacks a taxi in order to kill all of his targets in one night.
DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY (12A): Spoof sports movie in which a mismatched group of gym members enter a dodgeball contest in the hope of saving their gym from a hostile corporate take-over.
THE EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING (15): Sub-standard horror movie prequel which doesn't come close to the original Exorcist movie. Years before Father Merin fights to save Regan's soul he encounters a demon in Africa.
FINDING NEVERLAND (PG): Charming, well-acted film about the creator of Peter Pan JM Barrie's friendship with a young family who inspire him to write his most famous work.
FIVE CHILDREN AND IT (U): Based on the story by E Nesbit, a group of children discover a fairy who grants them a wish a day but deliberatly misinterprets what they ask for, causing chaos.
GARFIELD (U): The popular cartoon cat hits the big screen in this film which combines live action and computer-generated images to tell the story of Garfield, Odie and Jon.
HERO (12A): Beautifully shot Chinese martial arts film starring Jet Li.
HOME ON THE RANGE (U): Disney animation about a group of animals determined to save their farm from closure.
HOUSE OF THE DEAD (15): A group of teenagers arrive on an island for a rave to discover that it has been taken over by zombies.
LAYER CAKE (15): British gangster film that covers familiar ground with Daniel Craig playing a smooth-talking drug dealer who decides to accept one last job.
MAN ON FIRE (18): Denzel Washington stars as a bodyguard who goes in search of violent revenge when his young charge is kidnapped.
MY SUMMER OF LOVE (15): Set in the Yorkshire countryside, two seemingly opposite young women discover one summer that they have more in common than they thought.
OLD BOY (18): Korean film about a man who, after 15 years solitary confinement in a hotel room, seeks revenge on those who put him there and an explanation.
PRINCESS DIARIES 2: THE ROYAL ENGAGEMENT (U): In order to take her throne princess Mia must find a husband within 30 days or forfeit her birthright.
RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE (15): Alice, the sole survivor of the first film's horrors, awakes to find herself trapped in a city filled with zombies.
SAVED! (12A): A twist on the high school movie, a devoutly religious girl sleeps with her boyfriend in an attempt to 'cure' him from being gay, falls pregnant and becomes the school outcast.
SAW (18): Horror in which two strangers become the latest victims of a deranged serial killer. Not for the fainthearted.
SHARK TALE (U): When a shark dies in an accident a young fish, Oscar, takes credit for killing him, catapulting him to celebrity status but getting shark mobsters on his back in the process.
SHREK 2 (U): Animated tale which sees Princess Fiona reveal to her parents that not only has she married an ogre but she has also become one herself.
SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW (PG): Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law take to the skies in this action packed science-fiction fantasy.
WHITE CHICKS (12A): Two male black cops go undercover as a pair of white society girls. An extremely far-fetched but funny film.
WIMBLEDON (12A): British romantic comedy about a struggling British tennis player whose game picks up after he begins a relationship with an American tennis star.
