ANDOVER detectives are looking for witnesses after a pregnant woman was viciously assaulted during an unprovoked attack following a domestic dispute.

The incident happened on Monday 25 October between 5.30pm and 6.30pm when a man was seen attacking the 20-year old woman, who is three-months pregnant, in the area of Walled Meadow and Andover Fire Station.

The woman suffered a broken wrist and cuts to her head and upper body which required stitches.

Detectives are particularly anxious to talk to two people who are believed to have caused the attacker to run off. A spokesperson for Andover CID said: "This is an exceptionally nasty assault against this woman and anyone who can provide us with information will assist us with our inquiries.

"We know that at least two people walked by and they could provide us with vital information."
