Southampton's Mayflower theatre will be proudly hosting Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat featuring Darren Day this week.
Darren is leaving behind all memories of the jungle after his stint on the first series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, and concentrating on his stage career.
The former Don't Try This At Home presenter is returning to his theatrical roots, taking the lead role in a new production of the religious musical.
Essex-born Darren's big break came from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat when he took over the role of Joseph during the musical's run at London Palladium in 1993.
He was called to stand in for Philip Schofield and performed for three weeks as the star of the show.
This was followed by appearances with leading roles in Grease, Summer Holiday and The New Rocky Horror Show, but now the 36-year old performer is returning to the show that launched his career.
Hailed as one of the most successful musicals ever, it tells the biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers with fantastic energy and non-stop action.
The Mayflower, Southampton. Monday to November 13. Tickets: from £14.50. Box office: 023 8071 1811.
