Stoneham 14 Overton 16
Having only achieved one point from their first two league outings, this game was a must win for Overton if they were to keep their hopes alive for promotion to Hants II.
The home side seemed more focussed and duly scored a converted try after ten minutes.
Overton began gaining more possession through the sheer brute force and determination of the forwards and inevitably the home side had to resort to spoiling tactics in order to try to contain Overton and before half-time two penalties, converted by Pete Phillips on his return to first team action, meant the game was finely balanced at 6-7.
