A HAMPSHIRE florist has come up with a blooming marvellous idea to help local people living with cancer.
Jenni Smith, owner of Floral Fantasy Designs in Netley Abbey, is donating ten per cent of every bouquet she sells this month to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The cash will go to the charity's South Hampshire Appeal to raise £1m to fund a cancer information and support centre at Southampton General Hospital.
Jenni said: "I am a member of the Macmillan Southampton committee and due to my high workload I have not been able to attend the last couple of meetings.
"As a way of putting something back into the local appeal, I thought I could use my business.
"During November, for every bouquet ordered over the value of £20, Floral Fantasy Designs will donate ten per cent to Macmillan Cancer Relief for the local appeal.
"This is a great excuse for people to treat themselves to an exotic, unusual bouquet at the same time knowing that their indulgence will help local people affected by cancer."
The Daily Echo-backed appeal has recently hit the halfway mark and building work on the new state-of-the-art centre is already under way.
