ALTON Town inflicted further misery on hapless Hamble ASSC by beating them 4-1 at Anstey Road.
Steve Poolton headed in a Cav Ferris delivery to give Alton the lead on 30 minutes which they doubled a couple of minutes later through Richard McCann.
A Craig Rickman header pulled it back to 2-1 to give the Planemakers some hope.
But that was soon extinguished by another Poolton strike and a Steve Larvan penalty after Michael Douglas had been upended.
