THERE was some thrilling action in the cups over the weekend, with ties going to extra time and even penalties.
In the Hants Intermediate Cup, a late Glen Dawson equaliser earned Bacardi a 4-4 draw after extra time against Burridge, only for the latter to win on penalties thanks to two saves from John Harrison.
Premier Division Locksley Sports were knocked out of the League Cup by Forest Town from Senior 1, who equalised with the very last kick of normal time and went on to win 6-1.
Sam Mabey scored the last-ditch leveller before adding another in extra time.
North Baddesley and AFC Bassett fought out a nine-goal thriller in the same competition. Baddesley led 2-0 and 3-2 before Vinnie Fyfield hit four goals as Bassett won 5-4.
The arrival of ex-Woking man Terry Merritt has sparked an improvement in the form of Royal Mail Vets as he scored for the second match running in their 3-3 draw with Grove Vets.
