Willy Russell's comedy takes us back to the 1970s for an evening of nostalgic music and costume.
The story follows the respective hen and stag nights of bride- and groom-to-be Linda and Dave.
This is a script that demands pace and perfect timing to show off the humour at its best. Unfortunately, Sarisbury struggled at times to maintain this, probably because some of the cast had difficulty in remembering their dialogue with the effect of generally slowing things down.
The use of flash photography from the audience during the performance was also distracting. Sam Jones (Robbie) gave a strong performance in his first major acting role and Pete Hall (Dave) was a convincing drunk.
The simple set worked well and Jonathon Leech and Viv Challice deserve a mention for the excellent sound.
