TWO visitors from the country that experienced Africa's worst genocide in modern times are paying a visit to the rural village of Brockenhurst.
Pastor Anastase Mashyaka and Judith Mukawenda, a nurse, have travelled from Rwanda to stay in the peaceful New Forest community for a month.
Their hosts at St Saviour's Church have been showing their guests the local sights, including Winchester Cathedral, Salisbury and the seaside, which they never normally get to see.
Judith said: "I am enjoying it very much. I like many things about the village, the place and the people. It's very different to where we come from."
Host Jane Forrest, who has welcomed Judith into her home, said: "We are very much enjoying them being with us. It's a real pleasure and we are learning a lot from them."
Four other visitors from Rwanda are staying elsewhere in the Forest.
