MEET Hampshire's own ironmen! Lecky Metal Ornaments, a California-based manufacturer of wrought iron components, has set up a new UK office at Nursling Industrial Estate.
Commercial property consultants Vail Williams assisted Lecky in finding its new warehouse distribution facility at Unit 8B, Oriana Way.
The company has taken a ten-year lease on the 20,500sq ft building and created six new jobs.
Lecky imports hand-made wrought iron and sells it to British manufacturers that make gates and fences.
Jason Webb, associate partner at Vail Williams' Southampton office, said: "Lecky has a successful business in California and Singapore and to start up a UK operation, they asked us to help them acquire a distribution warehouse.
"This unit at Oriana Way is perfect for their needs as it has excellent access to the motorway and road network."
Brent Napier from Lecky, who has moved from his home in California to get the UK operation off the ground, said: "Vail Williams has been very useful in both locating this property and negotiating the lease terms on Lecky's behalf.
"UK property law can be confusing, especially coming from the US where things are very different. Vail Williams has helped us to get a good deal on premises that meet our requirements."
