SALISBURY'S Richard Andrews is one of only five golfers nationwide to win their category of the Marks & Spencer VIEW FROM Golfer of the Month.
He has qualified for this month's grand final at Vilamoura when he'll be looking to become VIEW FROM Golfer of the Year 2004.
Salisbury and South Wilts member Andrews, used his 16 handicap to great effect in the 36-hole club championship when he shot 80 nett 64 in the morning to beat his best score by two shots.
With a six-stroke lead going into the afternoon round, Andrews sensed it was going to be his day when he holed out from 70 yards for a birdie on the 11th on his way to carding a second consecutive personal best 80 nett 64.
It clinched the handicap category in his club championship with a 14 under par nett score and resulted in his handicap plummeting to 12.
For this feat Andrews won the men's 18-35 category for August as voted for by a celebrity panel including European Tour professional Stephen Gallacher and Olympic rower Matthew Pinsent.
