Sir.-At last, common sense has prevailed and we are to get a new surgery in Old Basing.
In addition, we will have affordable housing - something which I tried to introduce during my time as a parish councillor.
I believe it will enhance this area of the village, improving the vista by having the new buildings blending in with the surrounding trees.
