ALLOTMENTS: Over the weekend before last, there were 20 sheds broken into at the allotment site at Rileys Lane.
There were at least six strimmers stolen, a lawn-mower and Rotavator.
All were either petrol or battery driven and will probably end up in a car boot sale somewhere.
Most of the sheds were of the wooden type where it was easy to prise the hasp from the door frame.
If you saw something on the Saturday night, Pc Ray Niblock would love to hear from you.
DOCTOR'S surgery: The application was discussed before the full planning committee meeting on October 20.
There were many objections but the application was passed without any conditions other than the submission of brick and tile samples.
PARISH council: On Monday, the parish council committee will meet at the usual place.
There is much on the agenda, but two vacant positions will be discussed.
Firstly, there is a vacancy for a parish councillor which has occurred due to the resignation of George Hulme.
Also, there is a vacancy for a litter warden to assist Michael, who is doing a fantastic job.
Most of the litter picking will be in the Lychpit area, with an hourly rate of £5.25.
If anyone is interested, call Julie or Brenda on 462847.
BASINGA: What a delight this month's Basinga is. The Basinga committee did absolutely right in appointing Lin Osborn as the official photographer.
Well done Lin - your first job was absolutely fantastic.
