CHRISTMAS fair: South View Infant School is holding its Christmas fair on December 2, and is selling raffle tickets for its Christmas draw at a cost of £1 per book.
BONFIRE dinner: On November 5, South View Infant School's dinner ladies are cooking a special bonfire dinner for the children, and there will also be a colouring competition.
SOUTH View Nursery: Don't forget to register your child for South View Nursery.
If your child was born between September 1, 2000, and August 31, 2001, please register before November 19.
OAKRIDGE Festival: If anybody is interested in helping or supporting the Oakridge Festival, please contact me now on the number above.
SCHOOL path: Work started on the South View school path during half-term and will continue during the first week of November.
PARKING: This is still an issue around the Oakridge Hall for All.
Unfortunately, there are no allocated parking spaces, so please, for those affected, try your best to manage. We know it can't be easy.
DEMOLITION: Well Myland and James Close are no more!
All of the flats have been demolished, and the earth and rubble is now being cleared. What a difference!
Soon, I believe, the Oakridge Centre will be sealed off for demolition.
VYNE school holiday care: This is for children aged five to 12.
For more information, call the community office on 01256 407037.
PLEASE be careful: When using the shops in and around the new Oakridge village.
It seems that some of the drivers of cars, lorries and buses are not too concerned about public safety.
On occasions we adults have to take our lives into our own hands, let alone the children.
