WRITING: Do you fancy yourself as a crime novelist?
Rebecca Smith, who has been published by the Crime Writers Association, will be running a crime writers' workshop in Kingsclere library, from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday, November 10.

JUNK-HEAP: Molly and Maisie's amazing annual sale, in aid of Cancer Relief, will be on Saturday, November 6, at the Village Club, from 2pm.

BONFIRE: The Friends of Kingsclere School are, once again, holding their bonfire and firework display at the Fieldgate on Saturday, November 6, starting at 5.30pm.
There will be a barbecue and refreshments, and the Fieldgate bar will be open.
This is a quality event, but families and adults only are admitted.
Tickets cost £4 and £1, and are available from Swan Street stores and the school office.
VOLUNTEERS: Congratulations to our volunteers of the year - Sue Trimble, Sylvia Pennington, Rachel Theaker, Bob Newbury, Diana Tait, Richard Hanney and Janet Jones.
This is richly deserved by all.
GARDENING club: This Sunday is the last chance to top up from the shop.
The speaker at the November meeting will be Andrew McIndoe, who is head gardener of Hilliers Arboretum, which is a beautiful garden to visit.
He will talking about making the most of spring bulbs - still in time to plant some!
